AS Monaco need a surprise to get closer to the top against the serial champions from PSG. Monaco still seven points away from the league leaders will try to reduce the gap to the 1st place with a home win. The hosts only managed to win three of the last eight games. It is therefore little consolation that they have managed to keep two clean sheets in a row for the first time since the start of the season. The Monegasques have conceded twelve goals, which puts them in first place in the defensive table along with PSG. However, in the offensive area they regularly fall short of their own expectations.Monaco no longer has a super striker up front the responsibility for the goals now rests on the entire team. The fact that Deniz Zakaria an important engine in the midfield is injured is of course not particularly good news ahead of the game with PSG. PSG have shared the points three times away from home and in those three games they've only scored two goals. Admittedly, Monaco is not in top form at the moment but home games against the best club in the country are always a special motivation.
